Auditions held for film about 'Foyle minister

AUDITIONS for a new film based on the life of Aberfoyle minister Rev Robert Kirk took place in Balfron last week.

One of Strathendrick Film Society youngest members, Balfron High School pupil Michael Ferns will be making the film about the minister who disappeared in 1691 after writing a book which revealed the secrets of thefairies.

It is believed Kirk was whisked away to the fairy world for divulging the secrets.

The Co-operative have kindly given the money to hire all the necessary recording equipment and following auditions, filming will take place from June 13-30 near Loch Lomond.
