A FILM warning homeowners about dodgy doorstep traders is to get an airing at a forthcoming film festival.
The “Doorstoppers” film will be distributed at The Stirling Film Festival, which runs from May 25 to 30 .
Two years ago the Stirling Observer successfully teamed up with community leaders to urge elderly and vulnerable residents in parts of rural Stirling to turn away cold callers and know their rights.
The campaign targeted Balfron and Killearn, which are now recognised as no cold calling zones, in an effort to deter bogus workmen.
Other films showing are Bambi, Arsenic and Old Lace to Hot Fuzz.
Shows will be held across the Stirling area in a number of venues, including Aberfoyle, Fallin, Balfron, and Doune.
The festival launches with a Movie Bus at Cowie Community Centre at 10am on Monday, May 25.
On show will be Disney favourite Bambi.
Doorstop can first be seen at Stirling Council’s chambers at Old Viewforth on the same day from noon.
