Irvine makes Stirling debut after 40 years

IRISH singer-songwriter Andy Irvine makes his first visit to Stirling next week, as guest of the city’s folk club.

A 40-year career has seen him perform around the world, both solo and as a member of several leading bands, along the way becoming something of an icon for traditional music and musicians.

His repertoire mixes Irish traditional songs with Balkan dance tunes and his own original material.

The Stirling Folk Club gig takes place on Monday at Stirling Rugby Club at 8pm.
