Brewery cash brings Malcolm to Tolbooth

FORMER Arab Strap man Malcolm Middleton plays at Stirling’s Tolbooth on Tuesday, October 28.

The concert is part of the Tennents Mutual series, aimed at taking bigger names out of the major cities and into smaller venues, writes Mike McKenzie.

The brewer donated £150,000 for its first run in 2008 and all profits will go into the pot for next year.

“I think the whole thing's a great idea,” said Middleton. “This way we get interesting bills and acts that wouldn’t usually appear together in locations outwith the norm.”
