New gallery for Drymen

ART enthusiasts are getting ready to open a new gallery in Drymen.

Overseen by Stirling husband and wife team Cameron and June McCann, Ealain Gallery has worked to promote the artists on its books through a range of exhibitions, including private parties and corporate events.

A traditional high street gallery is a bit of departure for them but they are hoping it will prove successful when it opens on Drymen’s Main Street on November 15.

June said of the new venture: “This will become our permanent base, where we will have changing exhibitions.”

And hoping to capitalise on Drymen’s place at the heart of the national park, she added: “Alongside this, we will have a gift shop with something for everyone, and a whisky gallery where we will host master classes and tastings.”

Still intending to get their favourite artists’ work out and about though, Ealain Gallery intends to continue with its programme of exhibitions held around the country.

The latest of these gets under way from Sunday, November 2, in the MacRobert at Stirling University.

The first exhibition featuring art for sale to be held at the MacRobert for five years, the official launch from 2-4pm will give art lovers the chance to chat with several of the featured artists in person.

However, even those who can’t make it on the day will still be able to enjoy the exhibition daily to December 31, with all works on show available for sale.
