Callander gets lit up

CALLANDER’S Christmas lights will be switched on next Saturday amid a fiesta of entertainment.

Saturday, November 29 is the big day of the Callander Community Development Trust-organised event at 4.15pm in Ancaster Square.

The event will start with a torchlight/fancy dress parade with Santa’s sleigh leaving from the Myrtle Inn car park at 3.45pm heading to Ancaster Square.

There are prizes for the best fancy dress sponsored by Callander Round Table; best decorated torch (no naked flames) and best Christmas shop window display, both sponsored by Callander Business Enterprise.

Mince pies will be handed out along with hot drinks.
