THE popular Trossachs Trundler bus service will shortly be back on the road.
The summer service allows visitors to relax and explore the Trossachs without their cars.
It links Callander and Aberfoyle and takes in breathtaking scenery and popular attractions in the national park.
Funded by Stirling Council, the service operates every day except Wednesdays from May 25 until October 11. The first run begins in Stirling and the last tour of the day finishes in the city.
The circular route with a flexible jump on, jump off service gives access to a wide range of walks, bike trips and attractions. These include sailings on Loch Katrine, boat and fishing hire at Loch Venachar and Go Ape treetop adventure at Aberfoyle.
Leaving from Callander, the Trundler route takes in Kilmahog, Loch Venachar, Brig o’ Turk, Loch Katrine, David Marshall Lodge, Aberfoyle and Port of Menteith. Passengers can get on or off at any point along the route.
The bus is fully wheelchair accessible, can carry up to two bikes and has space for rucksacks.
The Trossachs Day Rover costs £5.10 for adults, £2.10 for children and family tickets (two adults and up to four children) are £12.30.
Tickets can be boughtat Stirling Bus Station or on the bus.
Councillor Scott Farmer said: “I am delighted to see the return of The Trossachs Trundler for the summer season in this year of Homecoming.
“Tourism is a vital part of the local economy and this service helps to make this breathtaking area more accessible for visitors as well as encouraging public transport rather than car use.
“I would encourage locals and local tourism operators to check out the new leaflet and timetable, which is available at a wide range of outlets and online.”
