Women celebrate our diverse world

WOMEN from across the Stirling area stood shoulder to shoulder with others from around the world as part of International Women’s Day on Sunday.

The event, which included workshops and exhibitions, at the Albert Halls celebrated diversity.

Visitors also had the chance to sample tastes from other cultures.

It was organised by the Stirling Multicultural Partnership Group with representatives from the African, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Polish and Scottish communities. It was funded by Women’s Fund for Scotland and supported by Stirling Council.

Manur Prabhu, chairman of the Stirling Multicultural Partnership Group, said: “The annual event gives us the opportunity to celebrate, highlight areas we need to work on and campaign on issues of importance to women.”
