Stirling Council Countryside Rangers need help with Fintry clean-up

STRLING Council’s countryside rangers are looking for volunteers to help out in Fintry on Sunday.

The popular River Walk path needs to be tidied up.

Countryside ranger Douglas Flynn said: “Everyone is welcome to join us and do as much or as little as they like. We will provide the tools, old gloves, tea and biscuts.

“Wear clothes that are suitable for outdoor work and that are practical. I would also advise that if you are participating for the whole day then you bring your lunch with you and a pair of work gloves if you have any.”

Places available for this event are free but the rangers asked helpers to book in advance so they l know how much equipment they need to take.

All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The event will last from 10am-3pm and the meeting place is Fintry Sports Centre.

For more information or to book a place contact Douglas on 01786 442439 or e-mail him on flynnd@stirling.gov.uk.
