FORTH Valley College’s new state-of-the-art campus at Kildean will be built by Miller Construction.
The contracts were officially signed at the college’s Raploch campus this week and work will start next month, with the £29 million campus expected to open in April 2012.
The new campus will replace the college’s existing site at Kerse Road in Stirling and will be in an attractive riverside setting with good transport links and excellent accessibility.
It will provide high-quality facilities in a modern learning environment.
FVC principal Linda McKay said: “Miller Construction has extensive experience in the further education field and we’re delighted to have them on board for the build of our new campus.
“We have already established a close working relationship with Miller Construction through the construction of our Alloa campus and we have been very pleased with the progress so far.
“We’re confident Miller Construction will enable us to realise our vision for the future of Forth Valley College and we look forward to working with them.”
Brian McQuade of Miller Construction said: “We are delighted to be assisting Forth Valley College in making its estates vision a reality.
“The relationship that we have already formed during the construction of the Alloa campus bodes well for another highly successful project.
“We are looking forward to works commencing next month and delivering another facility for the college which will serve learners and the local community for many years to come.”
