Fundraiser in aid of baby Chloe

LADIES are being offered a great excuse for some pampering thanks to a fundraising event in memory of a Callander baby.

Carolynn Brown is organising a ladies pampering day at the Meadowpark in Bridge of Allan on May 21 from 2-5pm to raise money for the Chloe McIntyre Fund at the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.

Chloe sadly passed away at Yorkhill Hospital on May 14, 2008, aged six weeks two days, due to a heart condition.

Chloe’s parents Janet and John have set up a fund, from which donations are made to the foundation, which has helped fund a sensory room at the hospital in her memory.

Carolynn is a close friend of Janet and has already helped out a previous fundraising events.

“I decided that I wanted to help further,” said Carolynn, “by planning and hosting the ladies pampering event, which is a ticket only event.

“I know most women love to get spoiled from time to time, however not everyone can afford it, so my plan was to have a pampering day for all my friends, family and anyone else interested in coming along. They can get their nails filed and polished for a fiver, with all the money going towards the charity.

“Rainbow Room International are also providing a stylist and assistant to help create ‘up dos’ and The Body Shop are providing someone to do make up.

“There are also going to be stalls at the event, with Betti Loves It and Frank Boutique both coming along with a selection of their clothes. As well as paying £10 for space they will be giving 10 per cent of what they make on the day to the charity.

“There will also be Fake Bake spray tans for £15, with £5 going to the charity as well as many more activities.

“Tickets for the event are £5 including tea, coffee and cakes, as well as a free goodie bag worth more than £10. The ticket is also an entry into a prize draw and there will be raffles.

“Hopefully if this is a success I will be making this an annual event.”
