Spa pledges effort for Eilidh fund

A STIRLING spa has pledged to raise £3000 for the Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund to mark the businesses third birthday.

Make-up artist Lynsey Fowler and lifestyle coach Corinne Campbell have set their staff, clients and friends a New Year’s challenge to help them raise cash throughout 2012 for the fund, which aims to build a “holiday home” for cancer suffers and their families.

Corinne said: “To celebrate our third year in business we decided we wanted to give something back to the community. We have asked our customers and staff to help us raise at least £3000 for the Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund. The charity’s project will help families all over the UK.”

Part of the charity drive will include pamper evenings in the spa throughout the year to help raise funds for the local charity.

The first event took place yesterday on Saturday when the staff at the spa held a princess pamper party for under 12s.

The next event will take place on the February 14 when ladies are invited to the Alternative Valentine’s Pamper Evening.

The spa will be hosting events throughout the year to help raise funds for the local charity which aims to provide purpose built respite facilities for families throughout the UK who have youngsters suffering from terminal illnesses.

The charity was started by Gordon and Nicole Brown, the parents of Stirling girl Eilidh Brown who died of Germ Cell Cancer nine days before her 16th birthday.

Gordon Brown said: “Any money raised by Inside Out Lifestyle Spa will be a great help towards our goal of eventually constructing a purpose built property with the highest standard of facilities possible, for families who need a break in comfortable and safe surroundings.”
