The Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Mrs Brown’s Boys actor Gary Hollywood are set to headline a special evening in memory of a young Balfron woman.
The Big Shindig 2013 is being held in The Winnock Hotel in Drymen on Saturday , February 16.
The first Big Shindig was held there last year, just a day before Lisa Morrison – a former employee of the hotel – lost her battle with cervical cancer aged just 34 years.
Friends and family of Lisa say they believe she clung to life until she knew The Big Shindig - which she had originally planned to attend herself – was over.
The first event, organised by Lisa’s friend Elizabeth Emmerson, raised more than £13,000 for the Maggie’s Centre at Gartnavel, a cause close to the hearts of Lisa and her family, and it will also be the beneficiary this year.
A handful of tickets are still available for the Big Shindig, price £50 per person including a drinks reception, three-course meal, goodie bag and a night of entertainment.
Elizabeth can be contacted by email at: elizabethemmerson@live.co.uk or telephone 07825056389 to book tickets, for more information, to offer auction prizes, or if anyone would like to offer any help to video the evening.
