1,300 new council homes to be built
More than 1,300 council houses are to be built this year through £26 million of Scottish Government funding.
Communities Minister Alex Neil announced a £9 million payout for local authorities, on top of £17 million already announced in April.
The two handouts will enable 17 local authorities across Scotland to build a total of 1,343 new council homes this year
