Ill killer's murder trial delayed

A child killer accused of murdering an A-level student has shingles, a court has been told.

The trial of Peter Tobin, 62, of Johnstone, Renfrewshire, at Chelmsford Crown Court was delayed as a result.

The judge, Mr Justice Calvert-Smith, told jurors that Tobin was unable to come to court because of his illness.
