Call to keep nuclear plants running

The lifespan of Scotland's nuclear power stations should be extended to give more time to develop alternative electricity sources, a Holyrood report has urged.

MSPs made the recommendation in an inquiry into the country's future energy needs.

Iain Smith MSP, convener of the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee, said: "This is our vision for Scotland's energy future.
