Concerns over construction industry
The Scottish construction industry will continue to face challenging conditions for the next two years, a report has predicted.
The Construction Skills Network (CSN) said the construction output, which includes jobs such as housing, roads and other building projects over £500,000 each in Scotland, saw growth of 6% in 2010 compared to 2009.
The growth was partly due to Scottish Government and councils starting construction projects before the spending cuts took hold.
