No charges for footballer and wife

Charges against a footballer and his wife accused after reports a child was left in a vehicle in a car park have been dropped.

Celtic player Charlie Mulgrew, 24, and his wife Alana, 23, were charged by police earlier this month under section 12 of the Children and Young Persons Act over the incident in a Costco car park in Glasgow on December 22.

Earlier this month a Strathclyde Police spokesman said officers had been called to the car park on December 22 during the extreme cold weather snap.
