Family centres 'would boost young'

The Scottish Government's "champion" of children's early years has called for the establishment of family centres across Scotland.

Professor Susan Deacon made a series of recommendations on how to improve the early stages of children's lives in a new report.

Prof Deacon was commissioned to produce the "Joining the Dots - A Better Start for Scotland's Children" review by Education Secretary Michael Russell, after being appointed as a champion of early years.
