Parents' group launches manifesto

A parents' organisation has called for no child's education to be compromised despite financial pressures as it launched its manifesto.

The Scottish Parent Teacher Council (SPTC) said that the education of every child should be protected and the rights of parents, carers and children honoured.

In its manifesto, the charity called on politicians and policymakers to address six major challenges state education faces today.
