A young boy has died in hospital after collapsing at a community leisure centre.
The five-year-old was taken to the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital after the incident at the Bettridge Centre in Newtonhill, Aberdeenshire, at around 4pm on Tuesday. He died a short time after arriving at the hospital.
Grampian Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the boy's death.
A spokesman for the force said a full investigation would be carried out and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
He said: "The child's parents are aware and officers are with them at this difficult time."
