Prizes for rural studies stars

THREE students from the Stirling area have claimed top prizes at Oatridge College in West Lothian, which specialises in education and training for the rural industries.

Alan Ewen from Parkdyke in Stirling was best student on the Higher National Certificate (HNC) course in Horticulture and Heather Bailey from Perth Road in Dunblane came top in the first year of the Higher National Certificate/Higher National Diploma course in Animal Care.

Student greenkeeper Stephen Young from Throsk won the prize for the block release SVQ Level 2 first year course.
