STIRLING indoor bowlers headed for the capital last Saturday for their final league match against Bainfield.
Fifteen shots adrift after the opening five ends, Stirling never recovered and ran out 26 shot losers recording a victory on only one rink.
David McEwan sen., James Brown, Jason Williams and Jim Flannagan won 20-19 over Jamie Gracie, while Ian Gillies, Brian McLaughlin, Gary Malcolmson and Sandy Deans finished all square (18-18) with Paul O’Donnell.
Elsewhere,Charlie Gibson, Dougie Kerr, Pat Martin and Bryan Stillie lost 15-22 to Gavin Smith, while David McEwan jun., Billy Guy, David Stewart and Danny McCormick crashed 14-34 to Robert Marshall. Totals: Stirling 67, Bainfield 93.

Bainfield’s victory saw them top Division One, Section B and thereby secure promotion to the Premier Division.
INDOOR LADIES
STIRLING indoor ladies finished their Scottish league series on a high last Saturday with a 33-shot home victory over Allander.

EX-PRESIDENTS
STIRLING & District Ex-Presidents played their annual match aginst the Central Association last Sunday at Stirling IBC - and won by 18 shots.
Scores (Ex-Presidents’ skips first): I Gillies 15, A Greasley 20; C McPherson 16, T Findlay 18; R Davidson 29, J Walmsley 8; S McFarlane 13, I Wilson 20; P Doyle 30, E Greasley 13; D Craig 16, J Stout 22. Totals: Ex-Presidents 119, Central 101.
