Doune Castle 3 Milton 3
Doune and Milton served up a cracker, with both teams eventually settling for a share of the points.
Kane put Milton one up in the 10th minute after good play from Burns and he then made it 2-0 in 25 minutes after a free-kick from Cooper.
Milton keeper McEwen was called into action on the half hour mark as the home team started to come into the game.
And Doune pulled a goal back shortly before the break with a free header from a corner kick. Milton should have gone 3-1 up but for some reason the referee disallowed Kane’s goal and the home
side were awarded a penalty on the hour mark which they converted to equalise.
Kane then lobbed the keeper but the ball bounced agonisingly over the bar and Doune scored a third goal in the 70th minute.
Kane had two close efforts but it was Statter who levelled matters in the closing stages after some great play by Burns.
On Saturday Milton are at home to Viewfield Rovers in a Challenge Cup tie.
Kick-off is 2.30pm, with extra time and penalty kicks if required.
