Club providing indoor cricket training

STIRLING County Cricket Club is providing indoor winter coaching sessions to junior cricketers at the Allan Centre in Bridge of Allan thanks to an award from sportscotland to match sponsorship from Ogilvie under the Sportsmatch scheme.

“The support we have received from Ogilvie combined with the Sportsmatch award means that we can run extra coaching in the winter to improve the standard of our youngsters and to attract new junior members,” said Les Sutton, chairman of Stirling County Cricket Club.

Louise Martin, chair of sportscotland said: “Stirling County Cricket Club is one of more than 1,600 sports groups throughout Scotland to have benefited from more than £4.4 Sportsmatch investment in grassroots sport. Our thanks go to Ogilvie for their sponsorship.”

The indoor coaching is being conducted by County coach Raymond Bond every Sunday afternoon at Bridge of Allan throughout the winter until the new season starts in April.
