SEVEN days of rain put paid to any cricket at New Williamfield on Saturday – although it didn’t stop Stirling County’s opponents from making a fruitless trip.
Despite downpours, Dunfermline Knights wouldn’t take no for an answer from Stirling groundstaff, but finally relenting when a few of the Fifers arrived and saw ducks waddling on the outfield!
On Saturday, Stirling visit Coatbridge to meet Drumpellier in their latest SNCL Division One match.
Both Stirling 2nds and 3rds suffered the same weather fate on Saturday. This weekend they will both be at home – the 2nds meeting RHC 2nds in East League Division Two and the 3rds will be up against Musselburgh 2nds in Division Six.
A friendly goes ahead on Sunday against West Lothian and New Williamfield.
