Motorsport: Luti looks ahead to Silverstone

CALLANDER driver Paul Luti is looking forward to the next round of the MG Trophy at Silverstone on July 10-12.

He said: “Silverstone is looking good for us, with a few ideas to bring our weight down to the ZR’s weight. We are 30kg heavier.”

Paul enjoyed his most successful outing of the year last time out at Brands Hatch.

He qualified third in race one and, after briefly dropping back to fourth at the start, Paul grappled his way back up to third.

Starting from second on the grid in race two, Paul was in the lead by the first turn. He held on to the lead for the opening few laps but running wide allowed Chris Bray through and into the lead.

While Bray pulled away, Paul and rival Jack Goff spent a few laps tussling for second. He was unable to find a way past Goff’s MG ZR and crossed the line third.
