Davis Cup success for Jamie Murray and Colin Fleming

JAMIE Murray and Colin Fleming helped Great Britain ease to victory in the Davis Cup at the weekend.

The pair teamed up for the doubles clash against Tunisia in Bolton on Saturday and came through in four sets – 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 – to help clinch a 4-1 win for the team.

They got off to a great start against Malek Jaziri and Slim Hamza, racing through the first set, but gave the Tunisians a foothold, which they took to level things up in the second.

Spurred back into life, the British duo re-established their advantage and closed out the match after a tricky fourth set. It put the British side 2-1 up in the match overall before James Ward and Jamie Baker sealed the victory with singles wins of their own.

The win in Europe/Africa Group II puts Britain up against Luxembourg in July.
