IN a week that was dominated by the weather, there was still some great fishing at Swanswater. Due to over three inches of rain in 36 hours, the water level at the end of the week was the highest ever seen, and the main pond was unfishable on Thursday and on Friday morning. Fortunately there was no lasting damage and the level dropped fairly quickly so fishing was possible by around 11amFriday. Some of the bigger fish were moving around this week and a good number in the 5lb to 9lb range were landed. The fish are still not deep and taking a variety of flies including Damsel, particularly hot-heads, Dancer, Ace of Spades, Daiwl Bach, Buzzer and various colours of Fritz.Read
