STIRLING’S indoor bowlers made it safely through to the first round of the Scottish Cup last Saturday.

In their preliminary round match at the Fintry stadium, Stirling saw off East Kilbride by 94 shots to 65.

Leading the way were David McEwan sen., Dougie Kerr, Kris Storf and Jim Flannagan with a whopping 34-3 victory over D McIntosh.

Sandy Deans, supported by David McEwan jun., Brian McLaughlin and Pat Martin, also skipped his rink to victory with a 28-16 success against N McLeish.

Elsewhere, Ray Duncan, David Stewart, Stuart Dalrymple and Danny McCormick went down 15-20 to A Elliott, while Charlie Gibson, James Brown, Peter Black and Bryan Stillie lost 17-26 to J McLeish.

EX-PRESIDENTS

STIRLING & District Ex-Presidents played their Lanarakshire counterparts at the Wishaw stadium last Sunday - and won 27 shots.
