FOLLOWING last week's concluding series of qualifying matches, the stage is set for Friday's semi-finals of the District Nine League.
Last year's winners, Spittalmyre who topped the Wallace Section, will take on Bridge of Allan on the Polmaise green, while Bruce Section winners Dunblane line up against Doune Castle on Riverside green.
Results: Bruce Section - Livilands 13, Causewayhead 22; Causewayhead 15, Livilands 10; Bridge of Allan 17, Dunblane 13; Dunblane 14, Bridge of Allan 15.
Wallace Section - Bannockburn 13, Spittalmyre 17; Spittalmyre 16, Bannockburn 15; Riverside 21, Airthrey Spa 13; Airthrey Spa 15, Riverside 13; Balfron 24, Doune Castle 11; Doune Castle 25, Balfron 10.
The final of the event, sponsored by Alloa Stirling Sales Room, is scheduled for Friday, July 10 at Bannockburn green.
HAMILTON TROPHY
STIRLING County West bowlers head for the Shettleston green on Sunday where they take on East Lothian in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cities & Counties championship.
The team is: rink one - Richard Guy, Manny Cruz, Billy Guy and Hugh Letford. Rink two - Terry Reilly, Joe Traynor, Dougie Kerr and Bryan Stillie. Rink three - David Stewart, James Brown, Pat Martin and Sandy Deans.
Rink four - Paul Monteith, Harvey Robertson, Peter Black and Danny McCormick. Rink five - Ian Gillies, Ian Forsyth, Rae Duncan and Derek Logie. Rink six - Charlie Gibson, Steve Whitton, Craig Watson and Jason Williams. Reserve Aaron Hazel.
The bus will leave Stirling Bowling Club on Sunday, at 11.15am picking up at Whins of Milton.
GREIG RYAN MEMORIAL PAIRS
SANDY DEANS and Aaron Hazel made it three successes in a row in last Sunday's popular pairs competition for adults and juniors at the Polmaise green.
In the final the Polmaise pairing defeated Stirling's John Miller and Cambusbarron's Lee Neilson.
In the semi-finals Sandy and Aaron defeated Peter Smith (Polmaise) and Keiron McCluskey (Causewayhead), while John and Lee defeated Steven Hazel and Chris Hazel (Polmaise).

BRIDGE OF ALLAN
WINNERS of last Sunday's mixed pairs competition were M Clark and Jim McKenzie. Runners up were Kate Guy and Ken Wilkie.
