BOXER Jane Miller won a gold medal at a tournament in Denmark.
The local fighter flew the flag for Scotland at the Hvidovre Box Cup contest.
The 29-year-old, who trains with Hillpark ABC, got the better of a Danish opponent over four two-minute rounds in the 63kg division.
Petrol station employee Jane said: “I’ve been over to Denmark a couple of times before. I’ve won each time so I wouldn’t mind going back.
“I don’t know where my next bout will be yet but it should be taking place next month. You have to go abroad if you want to fight regularly. In Scotland it’s difficult to even get two fights in a year.
“I was a little bit nervous at the start of the fight. Because I’m a southpaw I like to counter-punch and move around the ring but the other girl wasn’t attacking much.
“I managed to figure her out in the end though. I’m so pleased to have won.
“It was a great experience and I want to say thank-you to my sponsors Bannockburn Taxis because I genuinely couldn’t have done it without their help.”
