BEARSDEN 1
MILTON 4
ANOTHER great result for Milton put them six points clear at the top of the league.
Milton started on the offensive and Statter brought a good save from the home keeper after just five minutes. The Bearsden keeper then made a tremendous save from Reynolds.
On the 20th minute Milton were awarded a free kick around 25 yards out and Evans bent the ball past the keeper to put Milton one up.
A minute later they were two aheadwhen Statter set up French who volleyed home. O’Hare was a virtual spectator in goal as Milton also went three up when Adamson had his effort cleared off the line.
Just before the interval the keeper made another great save from Evans.
Bearsden came more into the game in the second half but never troubled O’Hare. Twenty minutes before the end Burns hit a tremendous drive to put the visitors on easy street.
Easton was unlucky in the 75th minute as his effort shaved the post. Bearsden were awarded a penalty kick on 83 minutes which they converted to pull one back.
Two minutes later McKines made a surging run fro right back, crossed onto the head of Easton who bulleted it past the keeper for goal number four and give Milton a comfortable win.
