BANNOCKBURN progressed to the fourth round of the West of Scotland Cup on a heavy pitch at Wishaw.
They came close early on when Harry Bruce and Stuart Maitland had chances and the keeper had a great save from Kevin Fotheringham. The home side then went close with a good effort but
They took the lead when Harry Bruce and Stuart Maitland combined to set up Boyack, who finished well. Just before half-time Kilgannon hit the bar and Kevin Fotheringham struck the post.
Bannockburn upped the pace in the second half and Fotheringham saw his 30 yard free kick come back off the post.
Great work by Maitland set up Bruce, who made no mistake from the edge of the box to double the visitors; lead. It was all Bannockburn at this stage and Boyack made it three with a 25-yard rocket into the roof of the net.
It was four shortly after when Fotheringham lobbed the keeper and Maitland made it five with an excellent strike. Near the end Maitland made it 6-0 with a header from a Clark cross as they finished the match in style.
Bannockburn are at home this Saturday against Uddingston Anvil in the Fosters Cinema Cup second round with a 1.30pm kick-off, played to a finish.

DOUNE progressed to the East Cup fourth round with a comfortable win.
They took a 1-0 lead after 15 minutes. Alan More found Graham McClymont, who unleashed an unstoppable effort from 12 yards that flew high into the net with the aid of a slight deflection.
After 27 minutes Ian Tervit lashed a ferocious left-foot half-volley towards the postage stamp corner. The ball cannoned back off the inside of the post to safety, with Craggs beaten.
Doune took a 2-0 lead after 42 minutes. Craggs blocked Robbie Hurst’s first-time drive but the ball spun up into the air and Hurst reacted fastest to head home.
Doune increased their lead after 48 minutes. Patrice Napoli slipped the ball inside to Alan Inglis, who fired a fierce drive high into the top corner of the net.
Before Tullibody could recover Robbie Hurst made it 4-0, bulleting a powerful shot into the top corner.
Castle made it 5-0 after 75 minutes. Craig Stewart drilled the ball low to the back post, where Alan Inglis was waiting to hammer home.
Alan Mcgirr had made a couple of good saves in the Doune goal but a late Tullibody break earned them a deserved consolation goal after 83 minutes.

ROVERS won a place in the fourth round of the East of Scotland Cup despite a heroic performance by the home keeper.
In the 13th minute David Grant was fouled in the box but his penalty was well saved.
After 31 minutes Stuart McDonald’s cross to the back post was headed home by David Grant. Three minutes later McDonald claimed he was pulled down in the box but the referee waved play on.
Both sides had chances in the second half but the tie was sealed in the 73rd minute when Adriano Zerbinati headed home a cross from the right.
The Whitburn keeper had a few more saves before he was beaten again by David Grant, who cut in from the right and curled the ball into the corner of the goal.
This Saturday Rovers are at home to Dumbarton Accies in the quarter-final of the League Cup with a 1.30pm kick-off, played to a finish.

MILTON started brightly at Carfin with early chances for Statter and Cooper. Following this the hosts had the bulk of the play, with keeper McEwan pulling off three excellent saves.
Milton started to come into the game and a last-ditch challenge from the impressive Kennedy kept the scores level at half-time.
The second half was a scrappy affair, with most of the play in midfield area.
Dalziel scored on 65 minutes. Although McEwan made a good stop from the point-blank shot the forward was on hand to bundle the ball over the line. On 70 minutes he pulled off another point-blank save to keep the score at 1-0
Walker saw a rasping shot cleared off the line on 72 minutes and Cooper shot narrowly wide two minutes later.
Milton are away to Westerlands in the league on Saturday, with transport leaving the club at noon.
