Slamannan 2 Stirling Thistle 8
THIS league encounter was played in dreadful conditions but Thistle started brightly and got off to a flier with Seath's shot deflected into the path of Convery, who tucked it home.
Seath got the next two for Thistle, the first after a good ball by Convery and the other after Clark released him to round the keeper and hit the ball into empty net.
Slamannan pulled one back with a deflected free kick before Edgar restored Thistle's three-goal lead with a shot from outside the box.
Just before the interval it was five when Edgar and Convery combined to play in Seath, who lobbed the keeper for his hat-trick. Perrie in Stirling’s goal had a great save on the stroke of half-time.
Slamannan started the second half a more determined outfit but Thistle got number six when Clark's free kick ended up at Convery's feet and he blasted it past the keeper.
Slamannan pulled another back when a deflected strike beat Perrie but Seath got his fourth two minutes later.
Clark rounded up the scoring for Thistle with a solo run and finish, to give him his first goal of the season.
Polmont 1 Forth Thistle 5
FORTH went a goal down from a penalty in the fourth minute when Chris Duncan tripped a Polmont player on the edge of the box.
Forth picked themselves up and drew level 12 minutes later when a ball played in to the back post found Steven Collins, who tapped it home.
Forth had a great chance to make it two on the hour mark when Malks McLellen, making his debut, was pulled down in the box but Bob McGookin blasted high over the bar.
Forth finally went ahead on 67 minutes when Collins at the back post scored a unstoppable goal. Two minutes later McLellen scored the goal of the game with a volley from 30 yards out.
Polmont were awarded a second penalty on 74 minutes but keeper Gordon Campbell pulled off his sixth penalty save of the season.
Forth made it four when Callum Smith beat the keeper at his near post from just inside the box then Stevie Wilson wrapped up the points five minutes later when he outpaced his marker to slot home.
Best for Forth were Tam McManus and Gordon Campbell.
