Reds edge out Colts in Cup tie

MILTON got the opener in the 30th minute of this Challenge Cup quarter-final when midfielder Blair Robertson fired home from close range. Right on the half-time whistle Cowie drew level from a direct free kick which was fired high over the defensive wall.

The second half was goalless but in extra time Milton finally broke the deadlock, Callum Brown firing past the keeper from a very tight angle.

Man of the match for Milton went jointly to Ryan Beyer and Blair Robertson.

Their next match is at home to Dunipace Juniors 1998 in the league.

DUNBLANE U17 1

IT TOOK Cambusbarron only three minutes to take the lead through Mark Taylor.

In the 18th minute Dunblane hit back with an equaliser after a mix-up in the home defence.

Rovers went back in front in the 32nd minute when Taylor scored his second from the penalty spot and 10 minutes later Mark Flynn added a third.

RIVERSIDE REDS 6

CALLANDER THISTLE 0

HAMISH Cholerton scored just seconds into this league cup game.

It was not long until top scorer Ryan Moran gave Riverside a two-goal advantage. He later went on to score a hat-trick.

Callum Hutchison added another two, although one could have been an own goal by the Callander goalkeeper.

Riverside Reds are now top of group C in the Forth Valley League Cup.
