Thistle win at Grangemouth

Stirling Thistle 4

Zetland 0

THISTLE had chances through S Clark and Seath. Perrie in the Stirling goal made a good save from a long-range effort before Thistle got their first goal when a long throw by Edgar was flicked on by Watt into the back of the net.

The second came when a cross was knocked down by Seath into the path of Edgar, whose half-volley flashed by the keeper into the back of the net.

After half-time C Clark chipped a pass to S Clark, who beat the keeper. Sub Convery made the fourth goal when his cross was met by leading scorer Seath.

There were further chances for Hammill and C Clark.

Man of the match went to S Clark.

Braehead 3

Camelon Albion 3

BRAEHEAD dropped two points against a hard working Camelon, who came back from being 1-0 down to lead 3-1 at half-time.

In the second half Braehead's passing game put Camelon under pressure and McKenzie scored his second of the game to add to Wood’s first goal.

Braehead attacked constantly but resolute defending by Camelon saw them earn a draw.

Doune Castle 0

Forth Thistle 4

FORTH made six changes after a heavy-legged performance the week before.

They took the lead in the 15th minute when Tam McManus crossed for Jamie Smith to head home. Forth thought they had gone two up when Jamie Smith shot home, only for the ref to chop it off for offside.

Doune started the second half well but were caught short at the back in the 62nd minute, when Jamie Smith broke down the right to cross for Bernard Hutchison, who headed home.

Forth made it three when the Doune threw the ball straight to Stevie Wilson, who ran in on goal to slot home in the 67th minute.

They sealed the points two minutes later with the goal of the game. Jamie Smith picked the ball up just inside the Doune half, took a couple of steps, looked up and put the ball in the top right corner.

Man of the match was Jamie Smith.
