Hillfoots 1 Forth Thistle 4
FORTH started brightly and took the lead after just three minutes when Iain Exley ran in on goal. The Hillfoots keeper pulled off a good save but Iain Exley was first to respond and made no mistake.
They made it two when Alexander Skinner, making his debut, shot home from 30 yards five minutes later.
Forth keeper Bryan Dunnachie dived full-stretch to save well in the 15 minutes.
Iain Exley got his second and Forth’s third when he headed home in the 28th minute. A minute later Forth made it four when a defender handled the ball off Gary Carson’s head and into the goal.
Hillfoots pulled one back on 42 minutes despite Forth claims for offside.
Man of the match went to Alexander Skinner
Braehead 3 Slamannan 1
INJURIES and no-shows meant Braehead had only 12 players to choose from.
After going 2-0 up through McGuigan and Alexander they were dealt another blow when goalie Rennie had to leave the field with an eye injury. Wheater took over as keeper and lost a goal right away with a header from a striker.
In the second half Easton scored with a fine finish to ensure Breahead’s continued push at the top of the table.
