Dunipace 2 St Anthony's 1
DUNIPACE came from behind again to take the points in a hard-fought league clash.
The Westfield Park side this time found themselves behind after just eight minutes. Paddy Cullen found himself in space and happily accepted the chance of a free header from five yards out.
Pace almost got back level just after the half-hour mark when Gary Wright just failed to get on to the end of a cross.
The equaliser eventually came five minutes before the break when Craig Reid picked out striker Erald Krasniqi, who turned and fired in low at the far post.
The home side almost edged ahead just before half-time but Reid saw his 25-yard free kick go just over.
Pace gained a bit of momentum after the break and were eventually rewarded ten minutes from time.
A free kick in the Ants’ half rebounded into the path of midfielder Mick Cullen, who took a touch before rifling in a 35-yard effort to win it.
The victory takes Pace up to sixth in the table.
Dunipace have a busy week on the road. They are at Yoker tonight (Wednesday) for a 6.30pm kick-off on league business then travel to Lanark on Saturday for a third-round Central League Cup tie, kick-off 2pm.
