Milton FC 40th anniversary awards night

MILTON FC held the player of the year dance for their 40th anniversary season in St Modans club, where Paul Burns was named player of the year.

Stuart Mitchell won players’ player of the year, Darren Walker top goalscorer and the Pat and Mamie Griffin Shield for club person of the year went to Benny Connelly.

Coaches Mark Spalding, Alan Greenhorn and John McCallum and goalkeeping coach Craig Anderson were awarded bottles of champagne for their efforts and a special award went to Pat and Christine Griffin.

The club finished second in the Caledonian League to Glasgow Harp, who reached the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

Pre-season training starts on Thursday, June 28 at 6.30pm at the Milton club.
