LIFE and pensions giant Prudential has renewed its club sponsorship of Stirling Albion to the end of the 2009-10 season.
The announcement comes as the Binos re-build in SFL Division Two for another promotion push and is a huge boost to the finances of the Forthbank based club. Under a substantial five-figure deal, Prudential will continue to be the official club sponsor while securing exclusive shirt sponsorship rights in addition to many other staff, community, promotional and advertising opportunities with the club.
Prudential’s Steven Leiper, a life-long Binos fan, who helped broker the deal said: “We are delighted to continue our support of Stirling Albion not just at a first team level but through the ‘Young Reds’ junior supporters club set-up too. Prudential staff help run the Club’s ‘Young Reds’ soccer academy which is attended by more than 100 children aged five-14 years each week.
“Our longstanding relationship with Stirling Albion puts Prudential at the heart of the community in the city of Stirling and allows us to work closely with the club to maximise the benefits of this close relationship.”
Albion chairman Peter McKenzie said: “This is my 25th season with the club and it’s no secret that I’ve decided to put the club up for sale. The news of Prudential continuing its relationship with Stirling Albion is a boost for any potential buyer because of the benefits that this deal brings to the club.”
