Stirling Albion get draw at Peterhead

IT WAS a good day for Stirling Albion's John O'Neil.

The Bino midfielder managed to help Albion scrape a draw up at Peterhead, in conditions that can only be described as farcical. The pitch at Balmoor Stadium was covered in several inches of snow.

It was the home side who took the lead 24 minutes in, courtesy of Graeme Sharp.

O'Neil's goal came less than 10 minutes into the second half, when Mark Docherty took a free kick for the visitors. The midfielder got on the end of it with an overhead kick from about six yards out.

The rest of the match was back and forward, with both sides fighting for a winning goal. But the final whistle sounded at 1-1.
