STIRLING Albion’s under 13s lost 4-1 against Queen’s Park at Lesser Hampden last week.
The team hopes to play a friendly on Sunday at Forthbank and have invited Hearts to provide opposition.
The under 15s side played youth team opposition last Thursday when they beat Rossvale BC from Kirkintilloch 6-1 at St Modan's.
Both the under 13s and under 15s assisted the SFA Coach Education programme on Sunday by acting as runners for the candidates being assessed for coaching qualifications. The players were both thanked and complimented on their skills and attitude on what was a long day at Stirling University.
The under 15s face a difficult game on Sunday away to raith Rovers at Kirkcaldy High School.
The under 17s and under 19s await the start of the SFL Youth League Cup and have had to be content with arranging friendly fixtures.
On Saturday a mixture of under 17s and under 19s met amateurs Doune Castle and recorded a 4-0 victory with a goal from Gary Morrison and a hat trick from midfielder Craig Young.
On Sunday the team travelled for a friendly against Dunfermline and suffered a 4-1 defeat. Two games in two days proved a bit too much for the players but nevertheless it was a useful exercise to keep players involved in active matches.
