Play-off hopes shrinking as Albion are defeated by Raith

ANY hopes Stirling Albion had of reaching the play-offs seemed to disappear on Saturday.

The Binos started strongly and held Raith Rovers, who are sitting at the top of the Second Division, at bay. 13 minutes in Chris Hamilton cleared a Raith header off the line and goalie Scott Christie worked hard to clear the ball.

In the second half, Albion put on the pressure and it looked as though they could hold off the league leaders. However in the 52nd minute Raith pulled ahead when their striker broke the offside trap.

Martin Grehan had the chance to equalise ten minutes later but failed to find the back of the net.
