BRUCEFIELDS Family Golf Centre at Bannockburn played host to the first Forth Valley Disability Golf competition last week.
With some great golf played despite poor weather conditions last Friday (May 8), among the highlights of the day was the presentation of new clubs to Olympic hopefuls Jack Fullerton and Andrew Stuart.
As part of a 60-strong team of athletes from the Forth Valley area the pair, from Stirling and Dunblane respectively, are set to head to Leicester in July to take part in the 2009 Special Olympics.
Organised by Forth Valley Disability Sport, the group has already raised £40,000 of the £50,000 total they need to get to the games.
On Friday, both Jack and Andrew received new clubs courtesy of the American Golf Shop based at Brucefields.
