Fourball challenge at Dollar

WORLD and European amateur golf champion team members Wallace Booth and Gavin Dear will be showing off their skills in a special challenge at Dollar GC on Tuesday, August 4.

Wallace and Gavin are playing in the four man “Eagle and Birdie Challenge” at Dollar Golf Club – a challenge match which is part of the club’s “Drive to Survive” fundraising effort. The match is unique – being played over three rounds starting at 8am and Dollar members are looking forward to a festival of great golf.

Joining the duo will be Gordon Yates, a Walker cup squad member, while local lad and current county stroke play champion Scott Borrowman make up the illustrious fourball.

“I’m really looking forward to the day” says Scott. “We are going to go for everything – and I expect Gavin and Wallace especially will get on the ‘Eagle and Birdie’ trail big time.

“Mind you, three rounds over Dollar in one day will be pretty tiring so it is not going to be easy for any of us. But it is going to be a fun day and it would be nice if some golf enthusiasts came out to give Dollar Golf Club some support.”

Tee off times are at 8am. noon and 4pm. Entry is free.
