WITH no first team fixture last weekend Strathendrick were able to turn out a strong 2nd XV for the early kick-off away at Cumbernauld.

Cumbernauld played a typicallyrobust forward game but the 'Endrick backs were determined to run when-ever possible.

With no panel referee confirmed, the visitors' had to provide a whistle blower for the first half – the home team providing the official for the second.

Once possession was secured, Endrick threatened and it was only a matter of time before the scores came.

Strathendrick's tries were shared around with three for Rory Kerr, two for Kyle Campbell, one each for Steve O'Brien and Stuart McGill and, coming on as substitute late in the second half, two for Mick O'Connell. Kyle Campbell converted six of the nine tries.

Cumbernauld secured a penalty and a converted try in the first half.

On Saturday Endrick return to league business when the 1sts travel to play Cumbernauld. The 2nds are at home to East Kilbride.
