League curtain falls for Endrick

ENDRICK'S final match of the season on Saturday was a league fixture against Strathclyde Police at Lochinch.

There was nothing at stake for either side in this frequently postponed game and regardless of the result Endrick would finish in fourth place while the Police could not improve on their eighth spot in the table.

Given this and with both sides below full strength, there was rather less edge than usual in the encounter and attack rather than defend was the order of the day.

The outcome was a high scoring affair with the narrow win favouring the Police who took four points for the win plus the try bonus while Endrick achieved the fairly rare feat of taking a losers' bonus plus the try bonus.

Two of the appointments made at the recent AGM were wrongly reported. Next season's captain will be Steven O'Brien, while Susan Black takes over as midi rugby convenor. Apologies to both.
