Open touch tournament

THE third annual Stirling Open Touch Rugby Tournament takes place at Bridgehaugh early next month.

The event goes ahead on Saturday, June 6, and is the first event in the inaugural Scottish Touch Series, where the results in Scotland’s major tournaments are aggregated and the side with the most points are crowned Scottish Touch Club Champions.

This year, 20 mixed teams will be taking part from all over Scotland and the North of England, including two Stirling based teams.

This year’s standard is expected to be extremely high with all of Scotland’s established clubs participating for the title and touch series points on offer.

A piper will be at Bridgehaugh to add to the atmosphere in the run up to the event and there will also be a barbecue running throughout the day.

The first tap-off is at 10.30am with the final game ending at around 5pm.
