STIRLING County have won the RBS Club of the Month award for November, in recognition of their winning run and climb up the Premier One table.
The achievement brings with it a £1000 cheque from the Scottish Rugby Union.
County president Ray Mountford said: “After a difficult start to the season it has been a fantastic achievement for the club and players to reach the halfway stage in fifth place in Premier One.
“Our last three league games achieved three good wins against the top three clubs in Scotland last year and who represent Scotland in the British and Irish Cup.
“We can look forward to the second half of the season with optimism.
“Our ladies and youngsters continue to show promise, further cementing our aspiration of being the best club in Scotland for development at all levels.
“Thanks to Scottish Rugby for this recognition and award.”
The presentation of the trophy and cheque took place at training in the games hall at Bridgehaugh.
County’s match last Saturday at Perthshire in the Caledonian Cup sectional games was a victim of the weather and will take place on January 21.
Tomorrow (Saturday) they are due at Cupar to meet Howe of Fife in another Caledonian Cup match.
The recent Stirling County v Falkirk match is the only one to have be played in the sectional games so far and a win tomorrow would virtually secure the Bridgehaugh men’s involvement in the knockout stages.
